"URBN Boutique Shanghai hotel was as lovely as the photos in our Expedia booking website. Our room had lots of reclaimed wood on the floors and walls, spectacular tiles on the floor, many noticeable details that made it look modern but also comfortable. The shower floor and walls look like gray slate and it was really big with an overhead rainfall shower as well as a hand held shower head. "Nice surroundings but the villa is very cold in winter. We stayed a night in the winter. The villa was extremely cold. We called the front desk; a technician came to check and admit AC is not strong enough and would get a heater for us. But the heater never came and we had to call front desk again for a quilt. Avoid the villas in winters."

Not only are the staff friendly and welcoming, the service is good, the food is good and the rooms are nice and clean. The peoples park metro is opposite the hotel so easy transfer from PVG airport (Line 2 or Maglev and Line 2). Taxi's also easy from / to hotel. The hotel has a large indoor pool and and an outside decking area for Europeans wishing to sunbath. Mornings are best. "Great for weekend retreat or business. Rooms are quiet with solid wood doors. In new properties I usually have a hard time hearing all kind of noises. Superb German / Munich restaurant on site. Superb fitness club."
