I would highly recommend staying at the South West Mermaid Inn. The room was extremely clean. Staff were helpful and friendly going over and above to make our week-long stay a really enjoyable experience. The central location is great for shopping and exploring. The room was very affordable and a great deal! We will definitely stay at the Inn when visiting Yarmouth.

The Southwest Mermaid Inn is an affordable, comfortable, clean motel, and quite sufficient for the many people who come to Yarmouth to take the ferry. It is quiet and feels safe for a solo traveller. The free breakfast is made to order, which is fantastic. It could use a little spruce-up in its basic decor-- it feels like a hotel that is used so much that there isn't time to renovate the rooms. I appreciated the refrigerator AND freezer (that allowed me to use blue ice instead of messy real ice in my cooler). This hotel is a sensible, decent deal for its price; nothing extravagant, but a decent place to pass a night.

John, Candence, and Mike (staff) made the stay super pleasant. My wife stay there as her father was in the ICU in Yarmouth. The friendliness of the staff and the extra effort they put in to make the stay more pleasant was above and beyond despite the tough circumstances she was under. There was also a mistake in billing and they PROMPTLY fixed it. We highly recommend this property and will return for a true vacation which will be under better circumstances. We cannot say enough good things about the property, friendliness and kindness of the staff.
