"We stayed in a Queen Room with Balcony. The staff were amazing and the location was great! The room was a little small, and noise from upstairs was noticeable. The two loud air-conditioning fans on our balcony made it unpleasant to sit outside. Overall, a good stay with a few areas for improvement."

However, as an older establishment, if you want the aircon to be whisper quiet, the best option may be to turn it off overnight, depending upon your room allocation. I also experienced the constant quiet sound of flowing water, coming from somewhere outside my room on this occasion."

"As others have noted, the lifts are something of a bother but if you aren’t rushing to get somewhere then it isn’t a problem. In terms of cleanliness, the place “felt” clean but unfortunately we found someone else’s drink bottle on our windowsill so I guess there’s room for improvement. Location is absolutely splendid, and the food and drink available on site were great and (for the city) reasonably priced. We very much enjoyed food service to our room and breakfast was just wonderful."
