This is a great location for visiting Yichang the hotel is beautiful on the inside and offers great views of the river and mountains. There are many restaurants in the area. They don't stay open late but there are delicious food vendors around the corner. The staff at the hotel are welcoming and very helpful. If you're staying in Yichang, the Crowne Plaza is where you must stay.

Would stay again!

Good stay, I would stay again. We did not buy breakfast because there were many little shops around for far cheaper and lots more options! The shampoo wouldn't come out of the pump in the shower and no microwave in the room but otherwise decent price for a riverfront view room!

Beautiful Hotel with Several Drawbacks

The hotel has a nice appearance, with a beautiful lobby adorned with flowers and a crystal chandelier. However, it often feels like a playground due to the many children running around. The air has a scent reminiscent of a typical Chinese restaurant. The room is OK. But the bathtub water temperature is just slightly above skin temperature, which is not comfortable, despite the service man's insistence. The breakfast selection is limited and significantly overpriced.

My room was clean, but elderly and showed signs of years of wear. The shower area had a funky smell, probably years of crud accumulated in the raised marble slab under my feet. The AC also didn't work at all, so on the last few warm days of autumn, the room reached 27 degrees Celsius. All in all, it was a bit uncomfortable. The hotel staff either didn't understand these things to be an issue or simply didn't understand me (even with an electronic translator). I would have to think twice about staying here again.

Great stay

The hotel was great. We received an upgrade to an executive level suite. The room was large and very clean. The staff was very friendly and service was outsranding. The hotel is situated across from the bus terminal that brings you to the cruise port. The hotel is situated next to a very clean and modern mall with many western stores and grocery store and Wallmart.

A very convenient place for a night after the Yangtze cruise. But sadly there is no concierge to help with the luggage. Perhaps the hotel can give a shuttle service to and fro the Terminal.

Very impressive hotel, across from the Yangtze and adjacent to shopping mall.

OK but Club access a bit under par.

The hotel initially could not find our booking, was resolved finally after a few phone calls. We booked a Club room. Room was fine but the Club lounge was open only in the evenings and had very limited drinks and snacks, not really up to normal Club standards. Also breakfast was not offered in the Club lounge as it is normally.

Best Hotel In Yichang

Huge modern hotel next to shopping mall but Club Room facilities poor by comparison to other hotels. Almost opposite River Cruise Port which offers cheap Yangtze River Cruises (however struggled to find anyone that spoke English).
