Very pleasant two night stay

Lovely couple of days spent in York. Hotel in a good location with secure parking & only 10 - 15 minutes walk into the town centre. We only had breakfast in the hotel but it was very nice buffet style with plenty of choice continental & cooked. Staff where helpful and attentive and the hotel had very nice open plan décor. The pool area was very clean. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent location, just a short 10 minutes walk into town. Secure car park, although costs £17 per day. Good size room, although found the separate toilet a little strange that took some getting used to. Fabulous continental breakfast that can be ordered when booking your room.

Very corporate; pool/sauna was good. Breakfast was poor and very expensive; staff were polite/helpful. Flaking paint on the ceiling of the breakfast area was disconcerting. Extortionate parking charge. Quite under-impressed given the £220 per night we paid for a very plain double room.

Overall, a lovely stay. Two quibbles: 1. Having to pay for parking at £17 per night when you're already paying £200+ for a room 2. The shape of the sinks in the room don't lend themselves to anything in them going down the plug hole e.g. spit, toothpaste and shaving detritus.
