"We really enjoyed our overnight stay at this hotel. It provided excellent value for money. Parking was easy & free. The dinner menu offered various options. We found the staff to be polite, courteous, friendly & helpful. The spa was lovely to relax in for a couple of hours. We upgraded our room to a premium room. It was recently refurbished, spacious, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The shower was excellent, no bath. We will definitely stay again."

"The hotel was excellent. Beautiful building with historic features throughout. We loved the 'lodge-style' room in the courtyard, brilliantly quiet and well decorated. Clean and modern with great facilities including: iron and ironing board, tea/coffee tray and in-room safe. The TV was a large wide-screen. Would have wanted a second bedside table as one was missing but that's being picky! Would definitely stay again as the location a short walk from the station and Mickelgate was ideal!"
