This property is right by the ferry making it the most convenient choice one could make. The rooftop terrace offers great sunset views and the restaurant on the terrace serves tasty Indian cuisine that is top notch. The lobby has a fountain that id want in my own home. I love the paintings on each floor the pool area is filled with greenery and has lots of space. Id highly reccomend this property to anyone visting Zanzibar

The Golden Tulip was again my stay of choice in stone town. Walking distance to everything and attractions makes this the ideal place to stay. 5 ⭐ isn't enough!

Great location for central Stone Town, helpful & friendly staff, very clean. Issues: high AC noise & problem with using the remote control to get temp settings right; TV set to subscription channels as default - no obvious free channels; no water in room on arrival, breakfast buffet not close to being laid out at 07:30 open; no bar

Location great. Staff very supportive especially. I was on 3rd floor and above is 4th floor which has the dinning. From 4am a lot of noise furniture continuously moved to prepare for breakfast. Windows not cleaned and look dirty when you want to open.

Lovely service, comfortable beds, nice breakfast on beautiful terrace, fascinating neighborhood, nice pool and spa services, but most of all: the staff. Helpful, accommodating, and thoughtful. We were surprised with the area in front of the hotel, with the rough road and busy with parked cars, and a little dusty, but learned this is typical of the neighborhood, so no big deal. Super convenient to the ferry from Dar. Really nice experience.

The AC in the room didn’t work properly for 3 days. We called every night and every day to have it fixed and it never was. It kept turning off after 15 minutes. Hot water also very minimal.
