"We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Ambassador Zermatt for 3-nights. The location is walkable distance to everything, and less than a 5 minute walk from the main train station. The property is clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and we loved having breakfast before starting our day on the slopes. Know that the sauna has limited hours, closing at 8pm. And most restaurants don't open for dinner until 6pm. We did not use the on-site restaurant but it looked really nice. Our room was great for the four of us, a 2-bedroom unit with a balcony towards the mountains with a Matterhorn view. We would absolutely stay here again. The price was just right and the location can't be beat. The walk to the Sunnegga-Rothorn tunnel entrance was about 10 minutes. There are two green bus stops 1 block away. Taxi services are available all around town and take card payments. "
"An amazing property that did not disappoint. Unrestricted mountain view, wonderful facilities and very attentive staff. Location is easy walking distance to most amenities and was quiet and cosy."
"We were exceptionally happy with our stay at Hotel Daniela. The room was a clean and comfortable blend of new renovation/modern amenities and Swiss charm. The spa was beautiful and well-appointed. Phenomenal breakfast with friendly servers. Great location that is a short walk to the city center and train station (though transit is provided by the hotel). Overall it was a great stay and we would stay here again on our next trip to Zermatt."
"The location was great. Close to the train station and the Main Street. Plenty of shops and food near by. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. We stayed one night and found it to be perfect. They have a really good breakfast and it is staffed by a very sweet lady. I’d definitely stay there again and recommend it to a friend. The views are nice from the balcony and it’s off the main road in a courtyard which keeps the noise down. It has an elevator which is a plus. "
If you're looking for something a little more offbeat than your standard hotel experience, a bed and breakfast might be the perfect option for your trip. If hitting the slopes is top of the list for your trip to Zermatt, Breuil-Cervinia Ski Area or Zermatt-Matterhorn Ski Paradise are worth a visit.
