The property was clean and well maintained. I liked the variety in room options and the look of the resort in general. It was a very beautiful place.

The property itself was nice but the food at the buffet was terrible, service was just as bad, and the beach was awful. Hardly any of the workers spoke English and I had to make numerous requests for simple things like towels. Room service food was okay since it was fresh. The pool was nice and the drinks were good, but that was pretty much it. There were countless stray cats wondering around the resort. The property itself is pretty big but it was quiet and there was hardly any entertainment except on the last day. Couldn't wait to come back home, which is saying a lot. I was surprised that this was listed as a VIP Access property, because it is definitely NOT a five star and not a place I would recommend.

From the time we checked in till check out every staff member was super friendly. Our Butler Montero was always informative and looking to help. Two staff members who stood out were hot chocolate and Pablo from the activities Department always making sure we were entertained and having fun.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and Subpar Food I recently stayed at the Moon Palace Resort in Ocho Rios, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the five-star luxury experience it promises. While the property itself is well-maintained and has beautiful coastal views, the poor execution of service and dining completely overshadowed our vacation. The biggest letdown was the food. For an all-inclusive resort at this price point, you expect high-quality dining options. Instead, the meals across the restaurants were incredibly mediocre, often lacking flavor, and felt repetitive after just a couple of days. Compounding the food issues was the attitude of the staff, which frequently felt indifferent or outright unfriendly. This was especially noticeable with the staff working down by the beach area. Getting a drink, fresh towels, or basic assistance felt like a major chore for them. Rather than a welcoming, warm hospitality environment, we felt like an inconvenience to the people working there. A great resort relies heavily on excellent service and great food to create a memorable stay. Because Moon Palace missed the mark so severely on both, I cannot recommend it and will not be returning.
