Disappointing 4-Star Experience: Noise, Disregarded Requests, and Misleading Information Rating: ⭐⭐ / 5 I recently stayed at the San Francisco Marriott Fisherman's Wharf and left highly disappointed. As a 4-star property, I expected a certain level of basic comfort and customer care, but my experience fell completely short. I specifically requested a quiet room when I check in, but I placed in a room directly impacted by loud overnight construction noise that made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. When I approached the front desk to ask for a room change, my request was rejected with zero effort to find a solution. To make matters worse, the front desk gave us misleading information about the property amenities. We were explicitly told that the $20 restaurant credit was per person, but when we went to use it, we found out it was actually per room. A 4-star Marriott property should proactively manage known noise disruptions and, at the very least, ensure their staff gives accurate information to guests rather than making promises they won't honor. Between the sleepless night and the misdirection at the front desk, this was a highly frustrating stay. I will not be returning.

Price was very good for area. Proximity to Union Square was great. Tratto restaurant, located adjacent to the Marker Hotel, was phenomenal for dinner and cocktails, but less than average for breakfast. In room amenities were subpar: no smart TV (20 Dish channels), no microwave in room, bathroom and shower were very outdated. Mattress was comfortable on one side only; the other side was deeply indented. Hotel was quiet overall, but room was very noisy if windows were opened (they only opened 3 inches.). Thermostat could only be set to an automatic temperature with 65 degrees its lowest setting. If we wanted it cooler, we had to open the window and hope for a breeze--see previous comments about noise and minimal window opening. Probably won't stay there again.

I have never experienced such a horrible customer service experience like I have here by the night time staff - we were forced to book an additional room because we had 3 guests (dispite our room being listed as accommodating 3) we weren’t allowed to our room without booking and were threatened with being kicked out. On top of that, a/c unit was poorly maintained so there was a constant clicking noise all night. Never staying here again, Hotel G lost a repeat customer.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Fairmont Heritage Place on Ghiradelli Square. This place is amazing. Rooms spotless, well appointed and very spacious, views of bay were amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly to us at every single interaction of our stay; including the room attendants! Thanks to everyone there for a five star stay. We will definitely be back.

Was hoping for more.

Good location. Great views. Nice place to go for a walk in the morning. The first room we were assigned had a strange smell. Had to go back and get a different room (with absolutely no view). The staff member at reception was not very friendly. They did not communicate that self parking was $55/night. Tried calling reception from my phone but could not get through. The AI did not know how to connect me!
