Cabilao Island Fishing Vacations

Incredible place, we had a fantastic time. I guess we got lucky because on a few dining occasions we were the only ones there which was very special. Everybody did a wonderful job and the pool is magnificent. If you haven’t been there yet you need to get there… The room was perfect. The staff was outstanding. The breakfast and lunch was incredible and the pool beyond magnificent. Right off the main road so you can access transportation easily.

Not bad not great. Just okay. The property surely has a lot of potential and is located in a nice area however is a bit run down or not fully maximized for its potential. Some will say this is luxury, I would say this is local luxury, on an international level it’s high but average. Food was great but some staff members were inconsistent. Little details weren’t monitored like soap and shampoo not being provided and refilled, stains in sheets right after changing them, not bad not fully worth the amount.

I don’t like the bed to hard for me

I liked the property provided a rental to use around the island. They also have a shuttle that will transport you to the airport- very convenient on saving time not having to book a ride. A simple yet efficient place to stay.

The room that we paid for was a “family room” which was quite large with two separate bedrooms. When we got to the room we noticed an overwhelming deodorizer/chemical smell. This smell caused us to experience breathing problems. We informed the front desk employees. The housekeeping staff came and told us that they had sprayed deodorizer in the room. It was not healthy for us to stay in that room so they moved us to a room that was half that size because there were no other family rooms available for that night. The next day they showed us to another room that also smelled of deodorizer. They then showed us the same room that we had first occupied but that still smelled. The third room they showed us also smelled bad. They did not have any additional family rooms to show us so our only choice was to stay in the smaller room that did not smell. They were unwilling to give us any compensation for us having to take the smaller less expensive room because they said that we booked through Expedia and not directly with the hotel. We asked that they give us something for our inconvenience and having to take a smaller room which the manager refused. After another conversation with John, the manager, he finally agreed to give us a free buffet dinner for the remaining two nights. This was a very small gesture as it really did not cost him anything and the buffet was only about $16 for each person. The buffet did not include any beverages expect for water.

The only issue we had was thar the mattress was really hard and we both had hard time sleeping. We also had sore backs in the morning. Other then that everything was great.

Amun Ini was a paradise for our family vacation. Starting with the location itself hidden away in dense greenery and private white sand beaches at your fingertips and all to yourself. The resort has a small capacity so with the large property you roam around unbothered and full relaxation. Next: the food. Of our 20 years visiting the Philippines this was the BEST Filipino food we had ever had. The chef is exquisite, brings alive new flavors and additions to Filipino classics and explores international dishes as well. Finally: service. Jeff was our waiter during our entire stay and I must say, he made us feel welcomed and lightened up every meal -he’s the best ! In short, this resort stood out in 3 ways: Location, Food, and Service. Apart from our outstanding stay, only thing to take into account is that the price of excursions are quite high compared to the prices you would find externally. Nevertheless, it was incredible and we hope to come back soon.

It worst resort/ hotel in my life. Do not know why it is called a resort. Old, ragged, outdated. Does not provide wash clothes, did not have pillow covers. Had to ask for them. Large spider in the room. Booked for 4 nights. Stayed one. We had friends at different facility. We got a real resort. Photos are deceiving. Nothing more than indoor camping.
