Very nice place, very helpful staff

This is an amazing hotel. Absolutely beautiful, great bar, fantastic location (right on the canal, just around the corner from Ann Frank’s house). The staff was extremely helpful on a number of occasions and the bar staff is wonderful. The room was gorgeous - we upgraded to a room with a big tub, and it was worth it. Regarding accessibility: the hotel has an elevator, but you have to climb a short flight of stairs to get in the hotel, another short flight to get to the elevator, and then another short flight once you get out of the elevator. I think there were 20 stairs to get to our room, even with the use of the lift. This was disappointing because my wife has an injured knee, but we managed. If a guest were wheel chair-bound, this would not be an accessible hotel. It’s a beautiful, historic building from the 1600s, so they get a pass, but if you can’t do stairs, be advised.

Everything was ok here. In the room there were several stains on the carpeting and the drapes had what appeared to be a hole from a burn. There were two pillows on the bed and when I asked for more they said they were fully booked and would do what they could. Like I said everything was ok here but for a hotel listing itself as a 4+star hotel, and 300+ euros a night,I expected better.

The rooms and property were clean and the staff were helpful. The rooms were hot (we were also there during a record heat wave), but for a 5 star hotel at the price point of this one I didn’t expect to be uncomfortable in my room irrespective of the outside conditions.

Fantastic apartment, was great to have the second bedroom for the teens to have their own space. Would look out for Numa properties in other cities we visit in the future.
