Jiangnan Ski Vacations

The most helpful staff we’ve ever encountered at any hotel in Shanghai. Especially the bellhops and the front desk staff. From carrying luggage to sorting deliveries, to the friendliness of the cleaning staff, the service cannot be faulted. Location is also central and has quick access to restaurants and the metro. The room itself is slightly dated but comfortable to stay. Would book again.

Positives: Property: The hotel is stunning and expansive. Plenty of freebies: Free 1 time minibar, foot soak, breakfast, wine and photoshoot, shuttle bus for the airport and disney. Gym: very good gym. Negatives: Housekeeping: I don't think they replaced the bedsheets in the entire 9 nights I was there and didnt take away the dirty dishes we had for days. Supplies like shower caps, bath salts etc arent replaced - which sucks since they chucked out the shower cap the first day they cleaned my room. Breakfast: Pastries tasted quite stale and the variety didn't change much at all throughout my stay. Staff: weren't very friendly. They weren't awful but could certainly be more hospitable.

We were informed that we could get a shuttle bus every hour, when we get to the airport and we waited more than an hour, but a shuttle bus didn't come. It was cold weather in the winter evening and we had to wait outside with no shelter or seats. In the end we realised that there would be no shuttle bus so we had to take a taxi. When we walked to the reception of the hotel, it wasn't very warm. like you feel warm. There was hot black tea for free. In our room was 16 degrees temperature and we turned on aircondition to heat it. It worked very slow and In the morning we realise that temperature didn't go up further from 21C. The room was large and the bed huge. Breakfast was good with many choices, but the dining area wasn't enough warm to feel pleasant. The price was affordable and hotel was quite attractive, just a bit too cool.

The Chateau Hotel/Resort was way better in every respect than we ever could have expected. From its splendid "palatial" construction to its more than comprehensive resort facilities (tennis & badminton courts, indoor/outdoor pools, gym, wellness centre etc etc to its wonderfully helpful and friendly staff as well as its quality Chinese (Shanghai style) restaurant. Set in a quiet leafy area about 6 kms from the city centre it was refreshing to hear the birds singing from our balcony in the morning .. Geoff & Annie from Melbourne Australia

The Property is good and Conveniently located.

Very nice hotel. Clean and moder. Nice size rooms. Looks great. Everything new and of great taste. Enjoyed a lot and will definitely come back!

Would suggest providing capsules coffee and tea as well as comb in the room

Had some problems checking in but the staff were super friendly, spoke english and was just reassuring through the stay. Only issue was the smoke smell around the halls for those in dorms but it goes away once in the capsule.
