This is my go-to hotel in Toronto now. It's conveniently located to a ton of things, and the rooms are always good. It's a bit dated, but the location, convenience, and good service make up for it. Restaurant is also good for breakfast.

When we checked in, we were told that we would be upgraded as it was our first visit to Fairmont Royal York. Great, we thought but when we got to our room on 11th floor, we questioned what we had been upgraded from. It was a smallish room with no extra special facilities or amenities. When we queried what level of room we had booked, we were told that 11- 173 was the same size and grade as we had booked but this room had new furniture and was luxury. Not quite what had hoped for when being told we had an upgrade! This room was not what you would describe as luxury. Fairly cramped, huge work desk (why? I'm on holiday and there probably was a business area downstairs) and one tiny easy chair tucked in the corner facing away from tv. However, the most disappointing factor was the sauna and steam rooms. We had booked this hotel as a treat at the end of a long trip around East Coast Canada hoping to have time to chill and relax together. Instead there I was - Billy no mates sitting in the steam room on my own! The hotel has designed the sauna and steam rooms to be only accessible from the male and female changing rooms. Single sex relaxation is the order of the day! Great that same sex couples can enjoy time together but discriminating against others. We were expecting top end luxury but it was disappointing. Does this hotel rely too much on previous history and not respond to needs of today's clientele?

Great service and very clean!

An exceptional stay from start to finish. The Park Hyatt Toronto is beautiful, the rooms are luxurious, and the location in Yorkville is perfect. The highlight was the incredible staff. A special thank you to Vanessa in Concierge, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and memorable. The warm welcome and outstanding service made us feel right at home. Complementary Champagne and all!! Ask about the car service they have as this was Luxery. We loved it so much that we’re already coming back. Highly recommend!
