Great room for family of 4. Ideal location in the old town, middle of Royal Mile so 15 mins to Holyrood Palace at the bottom and Edinburgh Castle a 15 minute walk the other way. High Street was bustling in the evening with street performers and lots of places to eat out.
Breakfast buffet at the hotel was fantastic, the kids enjoyed the pastries and pancakes!
We will definitely be back. Thank you for a great first city break as a family.

An historic building, convenient to everything on the Royal Mile. Also its lower level entry is super convenient to arrival from the train station, literally across an uncrowded Market Street. Wonderful rooms with sunlight, tastefully appointed. The timely limited access will soon be fixed by a second elevator being installed in the hotel. The staff was always helpful (though the laundry lost two of my dress shirts). I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Clean, and convenient to Paddington. We will stay again.
Nice large room (we were in the newly refurbished section of the hotel), couldn’t hear a thing from outside or inside. Breakfast deal on the weekend, great value, very good quality buffet.
