We had a great experience with Short Stories Hotel. The rooms were larger than most standard hotels, which made the stay especially comfortable. The location can’t be beat — right across the street from The Farmers Market and The Grove, with tons of restaurants and Trader Joe's within walking distance. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. I booked it for my cousins visiting from out of town, and they absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend!

Great stay good staff . Only thing I didn’t like was the shower . They could be better as far as water pressure

The room conditions were good and the staff was great. However, I had no hot water in the morning for my shower, I had to let the water run for 30 minutes before the water got warm, not hot, so I can take a shower. The other issue was the breakfast they provided. Basically, I felt like I was back in elementary school and getting a lunch box for breakfast. For being in the heart of Downtown LA at a big hotel, I would expect an A1 type of breakfast but did not get that. Last, they advertise a full bar on their website, but they fail to mentioned, it's only open on Friday's and Saturday's. What is the purpose of advertising a bar for your quest and it's only open 2 of 7 days of the week. Long story short, due to the above issues, I will never stay at that hotel, and I'll inform these issues to others who plans to stay at that hotel.
