Lovely small hotel featuring its spa facilities. Very good restaurant. Ten minutes from the airport which is why we selected it but were surprised how much we enjoyed our night there prior to leaving Greece. Location in residential area in redone existing building so not many rooms and a reservation is recommended.

The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a very convenient location, with many of the main attractions just a short walk away. The only downside was that it is located in a rougher part of town. We got that impression as soon as we arrived, and our very kind older taxi driver even warned us to be cautious and to have taxis drop us directly at the hotel entrance, especially after 10 p.m. Later, our night tour guide also commented that it was an "ugly" part of the city. As two women travelling together, we felt uneasy at first. In the end, we never experienced any problems, and the area wasn't as bad as we had expected. However, we found ourselves taking taxis much more often than we normally would, simply because it made us feel more comfortable. If you're aware of your surroundings and take the usual precautions, the hotel itself is a great place to stay.
