Very cool old building with several small lobbies to sit. Room was a good size for NY, with shelves and hanging for clothing. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Good subway access. Be aware there is no elevator so lots of stairs unless on the ground floor. Not for those with mobility issues.

Very good location, staff helpful and very kind, the terrace that provides food and drinks is a very nice touch and the view is amazing.
Rooms are a bit old but offers a lot of space.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay! Mindy checked me in, and she was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and efficient. She made the entire check-in process quick and seamless. My room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Although I was there for less than 24 hours, I had a lovely experience from start to finish. Great hospitality makes all the difference, and Mindy definitely made a wonderful first impression!

Very interesting place. Unassuming on 39th Street but reasonably priced and quite a large room. Very charming with a lot of character and history. The bar was great.

Location is the best part of this hotel. It's also clean and has umbrellas, which is great. But not worth it for the price you are paying. The beds were not comfortable at all. My friends and I woke up with back issues every morning. I think the springs might be broken in the mattresses. Breakfast was cold, microwave is downstairs so you have to an elevator to heat anything. The hot water was consistently cold, or at best, lukewarm. With the price you are paying, I believe there are better choices.
