Broke Fordwich Cheap Vacations

The property is in a great location and the ability to purchase an extra 5hrs after checkout time for a night flight was fantastic. One complaint is at check in, on the day before I left for overseas and on the day I arrived back was not a good experience. I checked in online on both occasions and was directed to go straight to the kiosk desk to obtain my room key. On both occasions this was not working, I had to join a long queue to receive my room key. I watched other travelers trying to use the kiosk to no avail. I asked the person checking me in, why couldn’t someone put a sign up saying the machines are not working and have more than 1-2 staff on the check in desks. I received a smile and that was all.

I think the hotel is run down, needs an upgrade and is very expensive for what it offers. I will not be staying again

The staff were friendly and very helpful during my stay. I was in a studio and the tv didnt work, the dryer also didn’t work and there were tiny bugs flying around in the shower. Regarding the dryer I let reception know and they arranged for me to use a dryer in one of the spare 1 bedroom apartments. This room looked like it had brand new appliances and was much better than the studio I was in. If you book here, spend the extra and upgrade to the 1, 2 bedroom or penthouse. I wouldn’t recommend the studio again

Some great aspects, but some questionable for a 5-star. The hotel is showing its age. It's still good value but there's a reason it's cheaper. The lobby is not busy, which is great. Staff available to help, no queing up. The services in the room were a bit off. The QR code for in room dining did not work. Theere was confusion about what could be ordered and what couldnt be, with phone staff not familiar with the menus. The room was clean on the surface, but lots of debris and old food crumbs between cushions in the chairs. The king bed was two beds pushed together, which was comfortable enough but had soft spots and hard spots, and you could definitely tell where the beds met. The bathroom fixtures were not in great shape. The shower head was replaced and didn't fit in the holder correctly. The shower head hose cover was falling off, with sharp edges. Lastly, the Platinum member food discount benefit is not available for in room dining, despite being the same menu, restaurant, and same kitchen. You have to actually attend the restaurant which is annoying when you are with small children.
