Hokkaido Prefecture Cheap Vacations

8 years ago I stayed at grand park otaru hotel. It was pleasant stay, I really like it a lot so I decided to stay at the same hotel this time round for my holiday. The toilet had a very strong unbearable mouldy smell.

hotel is abit dated however everything is well maintained. only one minus point is that i can hear my next door roommate's sneezing etc . soundproofing needs to be improved

It was quite inconvenient that none of the staff spoke English. For such a large hotel, it was surprising and hard to understand why there were no English-speaking staff available. We ended up changing to a larger room, which comfortably accommodated the three of us. We paid an additional 10,000 yen ($80) per night and stayed for a total of five nights. We had access to the Royal Club on the 28th floor, where we enjoyed breakfast as well as the tea time and cocktail hour services. That part of the stay was a very pleasant memory.

Love this hotel, easy access to shop, dining and bus airport transfer which is only 3 minutes walking from hotel to bus station. Joanita is the best receptionist in Japan that I met. He is so helpful and friendly. I would go back to this hotel if i travel to Hokkaido next time

Wifi wasn't available on the 5th floor but the rooms was clean and comfortable.
