Regent is at a very good location in Taipei and it's very walkable. The property is well maintained and part of a complex with the Regent Galleria. You definitely can tell this is an upscale property. There's a Louis Vuitton right in the lobby, but the hotel is not pretentious so even casual travelers will feel welcome.
The rooms are very large as are the bathrooms. It actually felt a bit silly taking 4 large steps from the door to the sink. Daily cleaning was very good.
On site dining options were extensive but my only experience was the breakfast buffet. Selection is great, including local, western, Korean, Japanese options.
I would recommend this for travelers searching for a more upscale experience and business travelers.

The property had clearly had a recent renovation. On the surface it was good. Beds comfortable etc. However there was a lot of exposed electrical wiring just inside the closet and cubboards and a lack of charging outlets. Furthermore, while it was lovely that the hotel provided us with a free breakfast voucher for the restaurant next door... it had to have been one of hte worst breakfast buffets i've ever experienced. Cold food, no meat options, no fresh coffee etc. I rarely get anything for free that makes me want money back but this breakfast was it.

Good hotel near TaiNEX. There is a 7-eleven nextdoor and good food options across the street. The included breakfast buffet was decent though I would have eaten elsewhere if I had to pay extra for it.
