Beijing Romantic Vacations

The staff were friendly. The location is great, it’s nearby shops/restaurants. I like everything except the spa. The female spa needs deep cleaning. Hair everywhere. Seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages. Everything else was clean except the spa.

The hotel is meticulously clean and has a easy access. It's right in front of Exit D of Xitucheng(西土城) Station on Line 10. The breakfast was good. One of the reviews says the English communication capability of the staff but they speak really good English. Only two problems: 1) The walls are extremely thin. I literally hear almost "everything" from other rooms. It seems like the movable walls between guest rooms are for the fire escape reason. The hotel should add the soundproofing on them. 2) Unlike other hotels, the housekeeping staff is male. I don't care where they are men or women. However, I was so shocked when I saw these guys (2 guys in a team) were smoking while cleaning the rooms! I never saw such an unprofessional scene. The whole hotel is NON SMOKING!! The hotel must do something about this!

I kept asking if they could insert the card instead of tapping it, but this was initially not understood. Eventually, I took the machine, inserted the card myself, entered the four-digit PIN, and the payment went through without any problem. It was a bit embarrassing, but I think the issue could be resolved more easily in the future with clearer communication or a quick manual insertion of the card.
