Overall, just average. Stayed here years ago, and can recall a wonderful property and experience. The property is in need of maintenance/upgrades. Arrived to room smelling like mildew and soiled shower curtain. Rooms are smaller, which is fine given the cool shape of the hotel itself, however with a soiled shower curtain in such a small space, the smell was unbearable. Had to message front desk to get this changed. Appreciate the help with getting this taken care of, however I’m concerned as to how something like this is overlooked? I was disappointed to see age all around the property — including dark stains/staining on furniture in room and on carpets. Also dislike that parking is an additional charge. The hotel is iconic to the riverfront area, so I would love to see renovation and upgrades. Old hotels have charm (which is great), but these things must be kept up to par when it comes to amenities/furnishings, etc. Comfort-wise, the bed wasn’t the greatest… very firm. The bed was clean which I appreciated. Didn’t use the pool. Encountered staff seemed lackluster. Didn’t really go above and beyond in any way. Just average for this stay. I’m rooting for this property to develop into something great!!
