“We stayed in this hidden gem for 2 nights with another couple. We rented a Superior Villa with a kitchenette and 2 bedrooms but upon arriving we were surprised to see that it was a lot smaller than the photos led us to believe. It would be better for a family then 2 couples as the bedroom with the double bed only had a privacy curtain. Both rooms were open above the door so that the AC which is only in the single beds room, could cool the entire villa. We did not eat there, which is good because...

“Ellie was a wonderful host, she made sure we were comfortable and runs a beautiful hotel in paradise. Our family stayed in the cabanas which were private and perfectly appointed. It was amazing to sip coffee on the balcony and see a flock of scarlet macaws!”

“Tangara Azul is a little gem, lovely accommodation with lots of living space and a kitchen, nice pool and grounds, easy 15 min drive to Uvita, much better value than staying there. Also has the citrus restaurant and a deli on site.”

“This is a beautiful place to stay and very relaxing. We were busy with outside activities so didn’t get to enjoy the pool like we would have liked. They have a washer and drier on site for guests to use free of charge and after traveling around the country for 2 weeks before arriving this was handy. ”

“Petit lodge très propre situé dans un environnement exceptionnel. Le service était très attentionné et le propriétaire disponible pour tout. La piscine était géniale pour se rafraîchir le soir. Le petit déjeuner était délicieux et le personnel gentil. ce fut un séjour parfait. De plus, la chambre est très bien équipée. Frigo, internet, séchoir, mouchoirs, eau froide pour boire et bien d'autres petites attentions en plus d'un lit très confortable.”

The only suggestion I would make is that the pool deck is very slippery with or without shoes when it is wet. Had a great time with the staff they were wonderful people. Loved our stay”
