The staff were very helpful, friendly and easily accessible. The room had a nice size refrigerator and a microwave. There was an available four slice toaster, microwave and ice maker in the office, there was also a coffee machine but it was out of order. The price was very affordable.

There was mildew in the bathroom. Water damage on the back wall. I seen a few riches in the bathroom and one was crushed on the wall and left. There is dirt on the doors and foot marks on the front door.

For the price, I expected it to not be good, and I was right. One of the workers we're really helpful, the other, not so much. The bathroom didn't lock, the beds felt like an air mattress, and the bathtub was absolutely disgusting. The floor of it was gross and the curtain was discolored and molding in one of the corners. It was only a little worse than I expected. Would I suggest it to someone, not without letting them know what they're getting. Would I go back, only if money was really tight.

Room was clean. Staff very friendly. Refrigerator door was broken. Fell off when you opened it. Property was a little run down but clean. We were only there to sleep and shower over a 2 day stay.

The beds were unmade. Clean sheets and towels were sitting on one bed. Blankets and comforter were thrown on dresser from previous guests. No toilet paper at all. Went to office and got 2 rolls. Shower was black and slimy. Office just said there were housekeeping issues. We were put into another room that was a little better. Bathroom floor need to be swept. We slept in our clothes and used our own pillows since it was late and left first thing in the morning.

great budget option, nice room, people in other rooms were loud but only til about 10pm mirror on car was messed with in parking lot,(moved around) but for the price you have to expect scummy people, owner was very nice an addressed any problems quickly

Very small rooms heat didn't work pillows was the size of a marshmallow found out that we wasn't the only ones in the room roaches were already there before we got there.

I didn't request maid service for two days, but they did it anyway, then when I did, they didn't leave any toilet paper, we ha to go to the desk and ask for it.

One Motel that I would stay at again
We went to the motel expecting the worse, but we were really surprised. The room was clean. Nice beds, refrigerator, microwave, and tv. Enjoyed the tv throughout the night after the concert. We just had a problem with the lid on the stool which the staff fixed it right away. The roof leaked with really slow drips, but notified the staff. After being soaking wet from the concert, a little drip of water didn't hurt a thing. The beds were comfortable and the staff gave us all an extra pillow. The price was one of the cheapest in town during the rodeo and concert. I know that reviews are important, I even looked for the reviews first before booking it. I am glad that I didn't dwell on the negative reports. I would stay there again.

There was no breakfast to speak of; the beds were lumpy, and the bathroom not very clean. The property was dirty and unkempt. We would recommend that no one stay here.

Wife on duty when I arrived. Spoke no English. Called husband on phone and completed Check-in. It took forever because his command of English language was not much better. The room was in my opinion dirty. Floor and bath not so nicely cleaned.

The person who checked me in was okay but a bit brash didn't politely ask for my licencse and card more of just 'give me'. No one was there when I went to check out and I hate just leaving keys whereever. Should have had someplace to set them. room was suitable but you could tell areas needed work.

This is an old school motel and is cheap (so take that into consideration). That doesn't bother me when going on fishing trips as ling as the bed is decent, room is clean and bed linens are clean. Bed linens looked questionable.

Dirty bathtub. 3rd class dump. No one at desk for check in. Rang bell. Called out. Finally found a phone and dialed O before someone came. Our room had noisy neighbors with loud music. We changed rooms. Not a great place for such an expensive price. I’ve stayed in way better places and paid far less. Won’t recommend to anyone.

It's a older style back in the day motel...rooms lil rough because of its age...however the beds are a very comfortable soft mattress...check-in was quick...the staff were friendly and helpful...overall was a nice stay...

The owner/operator who was at the front desk went above and beyond to see his customers happy. He chased me down to let me know he had refilled the creamer and sugar at the coffee station, and he was quick to follow us to the door and make sure we could work the key. Could not have asked for a better staff at what was just the average river town motel. Leave the window open and you can save yourself a hundred bucks or so, by staying here.

Nice rooms to a good price. No luxury, but you have what you need - Wi-Fi, Cable, AC, shower, fridge, microwave. Not super clean, but decent. Peaceful and quiet at night.

Was run down and nasty. toilet was clogged smoke detecter was beeping due to bad batteries. When i told the guy about it he said what did you smoke. I said um nothing the batteries are dying. He proceeded to say i dont understand everything new!! New toilet new everything. Clearly wasnt the case. Also stated online was pet friendly and that it was not. The hindew gentleman at the desk was rude as all hell. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

she not understand about pet friendly motel but charge for pet she don't know and not inform for front desk but without inform how to carry pet ? pet charge for 20 $duller guest carry dog big size and mashup room and put in toilet small liquor whisky plastic bottle put in toilet so clogged toilet next day maintenance men very hard work and done this and morning check out time i talk to her why you carry dog without inform me not pay charge for pet and stay with you? So she told me pet friendly ,motel not charge pet and no need inform on front desk when she check out so i told her need money for dog charge 20$ ! she angry and give me charge money for this 20$ so she put in wrong reviews motel every things good quite and clean but wrong some so put wrong reviews

We arrived and there were no towels in our room, called and they brought them over. The whole area is pretty sketchy but it’s Fort Madison, where isn’t it. The longer we stayed the more we noticed how gross everything was. The only good thing was we ended our trip short due to a concert bailing out and they refunded us our last night with less than 24 hour notice. Non the less, we will not be staying at this motel again. To gross. Also the bed was very uncomfortable, King size bed and my husband and I had to sleep in the dead middle because if you were close to the side it felt like you were going to roll off.

Upon arrival, owner greeted us outside. Hotel is old and run down. Each room entered from outside. Carpets not clean. Bathroom had mold growing on ceiling and in shower. Disgusting. We did not use the shower. Bathroom door would not close properly. Bed was okay. Pillows flat. If you aant no frills, this is definitely it.

Room was fairly clean. There was a bugle chip on the floor in the sink room and a opened Used bar of soap in the shower. Not 100% sure the bed had been changed either. But it didn’t smell. Room was not warm, was 62 when I got there and 3 hours later the chill was finally gone but I had temp on 80, turned it down to 78 when I went to bed and never got hot all night. Bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep.
