“We stayed one night in order to visit Talliston House in Great Dunmow. We had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and warm, cosy and had everything we needed. We appreciated the milk, beverages and cookies. Everything was clean, the beds were lovely and it was a very quiet area. The gardens looked lovely, but weather did not allow us to fully explore. The cooked breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Faultless stay. ”

“The staff and food at dinner were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t run at quite the same standard with a lot of mistakes and delays on orders. The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). Bed nice and comfy, unfortunately we were near the road so a bit noisy but that can’t be helped. The resident cats will wake you up early whilst they’re waiting for breakfast though if the traffic doesn’t! We were charged £25 extra for...

“Nice amenities and comfy bed with nice linens. Pub and dining room are downstairs so noise does travel as rooms are over the pub. Staff very friendly. Good food in the downstairs restaurant. Right in town and sidewalks for getting out and about in the small village. ”

“My partner and I stayed for the weekend. We had dinner in the pub on Friday which was so nice. The room was spacious and I loved the decor. It was clean and very comfortable. Lovely selection of teas and coffees and even biscuits and a chocolate. Good Wi-Fi reception. Good water pressure in the shower. Everything was perfect. We’ll definitely stay again. ”
