Super disappointed, terrible stay. Would expect much more for a 4-star resort and for what we paid.
I stayed here for 6 nights with my husband and 16 month old toddler in a Suite. So many negative things to say, would not recommend.
- On arrival at 3pm, our room wasn’t ready, so we needed to wait.
- The room was outdated and dirty. Spiderwebs in the corners, mirror had large specs of discolouration, doors would not open, close or lock properly. Reminded me of a camping cabin.
- After our first night, we found a whole lot of bugs had come into our room underneath the door (and had died) and the floor was all wet. I tried to contact Reception and it took 6 redials before somebody finally answered. I voiced my concern and they didn’t seem apologetic at all, they just said they would send somebody to “fix it”. It sounded like it happens regularly. For the remainder of our stay, we had to put extra towels at the bottom of the door to prevent any more bugs from getting in.
Sola Bar and the Pool area look beautiful, but was also very disappointed in our experience here. The menu selection and food is average. We were looking forward to the “Brazilian BBQ Special” on Saturday night. However when we went to order at 7:30pm, we were told that the special had already “sold out”. Ridiculous! So we decided to order two pizzas instead and a kids meal for our son. It took 1.5hrs to come out!
I hope this Novotel undergo some big changes to ensure their guests are happy in the future.
