Wenn man von der Straße der Ausschilderung folgt und am falschen Ende der Hotelanlage ankommt, dann möchte man am liebsten wieder umkehren, da ist leider nicht einladend aussieht. Die Freizeitangebote (Tischtennis, Pool, etc. ) sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber Großteils okay. Leider lässt der Umgang des Personals mit den Gästen sehr zu wünschen übrig. Wegen eines Fehlers wurde uns der Hund doppelt berechnet. Um dies zu korrigieren mussten wir 6! mal die Rezeption aufsuchen. Ein (bei 5. mal) statt einer Rückzahlung angebotenes Abendessen hätten wir...

"I recently stayed at Hotel Adler in Rudolstadt and was impressed by its unbeatable location—right in the city center, just steps from the main square, the train station, and the stunning baroque Heidecksburg Castle. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building dating back to 1880, which adds a lot of character and charm to the experience. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the style of the period while still offering modern comfort. There is parking available, which is a great convenience if you’re traveling by car. One downside is that the rooms are not air-conditioned, which can be a bit uncomfortable in hot weather. However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. Overall, Hotel Adler is a great choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere with character and a central location in Rudolstadt."

"Lovely quiet, rural area. Fabulous forestry, rocky outcrops, scenery so green. Great for walking, cycling, exploring this part of northern Bavaria. Even though rural roads, superb, easy from A to B. Staff lovely in the hotel. Spoke good English for restricted German speakers. Comfort Room spacious and clean. Little terrace with outside seating. Great views. No sound issues from rooms next door or above (we were ground floor). Great shower! But no tea/coffee facilities in room. The usual wonderful buffet breakfast. Adequate evening meal but then chose to eat out in the evening for the other two nights; wanted to experience more. Didn’t use Spa or swimming pool; too much to do and see elsewhere in the vicinity to include in our three night stay. "
