“The location is beautiful, and off of the main road, so there isn’t any road traffic sound… unlike some nearby lodges that cost more. The staff is friendly, and they did my laundry on the same day, without an extra charge… The food is good and different from surrounding lodges in the fact that they also have Italian food, in addition to the wonderful Costa Rican fare. Abundant, luxuriously, foliated, gardens, full of flowers and birds… repeat with birdfeeders attracting some for close...

“Spacious rooms. We loved the breakfast area amidst the trees - enjoyed watching the colorful butterflies and birds all around us! Special shout out to Armando who spotted several sloths during the sloth tour and frogs during the night tour”

“We loved the remoteness of it, and the friendliness of the lady who served us dinner and breakfast. This is not like a stay in the more touristy parts of Costa Rica like La Fortuna or Monteverde. This is off the beaten path. Its not as close to the Rincon de la Vieja park as we originally thought (1h30 drive time on poor quality roads, in theory there was a straighter distance road but we didn't trust our rental AWD Rav4 would be able to get there).”

“We rented a car and could park right in front. The property manager never received reservation from Orbitz and we had a hard time contacting him upon arrival. Had to borrow the bike rental neighboring business’ phone to call him. He doesn’t receive payment from Orbitz either and we had to go back and forth to dispute. Cheap place to stay if you just want to quick overnighter with no frills.”
