“Only down side is that i didnt stay longer! A very cute little cottage with everything you need. Good heating, a very warm and comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom and a lovely little deck outside your room and access to a private outdoor bath. This is very close to Roxburgh and Ettrick traven is just up the road. “I had a lovely albeit short stay at Hawkdun Rise. Suzanne and John are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. The interior could be slightly more modern for my personal taste but everything was very clean and well kept. And you can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into creating a space in which their guests can feel comfortable and welcome. Need to try their Gewürztraminer! ”
