“We enjoyed our stay at Kay Jay Palms. The rooms were spacious and very clean. A/C and fan combo kept the rooms cool in the day and night. We had breakfast and dinners there. The portion sizes were much more than we could finish. It is 5 min drive from Pasikuda beach which was very convenient for beach days in the morning and the ability to change before other activities in the afternoon. Overall a great experience. ”

“When I arrived I was told the hotel was closed. I took pictures to prove I was there as I had already paid through Expedia. I then had a ‘neighbour’ show up to ‘offer’ alternate accommodation at a very much more cost! The hotel is on a back street and when confronted with having to find an option on the day when I was hoping to visit the palace I conceded to the higher price. This was classic ‘bait & switch! “The standout from this place was the pool. Easily the best to date in Lanka. It runs directly East to West so has the sun permanently on it, making it lovely and warm. It also appears in very good nick so I would guess is relatively new. The room was pleasantly adequate with no complaints. The odd thing was there was no reception as such so to find someone, I discovered ‘hollering’ ended up being the best way.
