"We really enjoyed our stay- hotel location and staff were excellent and my comments below didn’t spoil the experience but I thought I’d mention them. We stayed early October and I think the hotel showed signs of wear and tear from the holiday season. It didn’t really detract from our enjoyment but there were for instance lots of stains on the corridor and room carpets, the dining chairs were well used so you would sink into them- not easy to eat from a low position. "Very handy for Girona airport and a free shuttle, really great choice at breakfast , although the cooked section could have been warmer and maybe more of a selection. Free spa was lovely."

"Excellent property in an amazing area of the world. Clean, friendly staff and a location that can't be beat. We saw some folks struggling with the stairs and it is a 15 minute walk to a sand beach or a 5 minute walk to a smaller beach. If you're not going to eat on site then it's an $18 euro cab ride into Begur or a 15 minute walk to the nearest restaurant. This worked well for us but it won't work for everybody. We loved the stay and completely recommend the property"

"Really clean room, some what basic but very comfortable bed and good shower pressure. The hotel has two pools and a rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet is really good with a wide selection of hot and cold items. No issues with noise but I visited in low season. They have indoor paid parking for a fee but spaces are limited. The hotel is close to everything"

"Dinner at the restaurant chicken was not cooked through send back then they bring black no apology with angry face .put my starters cutlery on the plates then the waitress took them and put them on the table dirty.Lack of English,cold tartan tan funny,and had the suffle cold with egg inside very salty. Nice hotel but restaurant make poor stay"

"My husband and I returned to Hotel Anabel after 53years. It was our 1st holiday together 1971. We were so glad we did. The family run hotel made such a fuss of us when we told them our reason for returning. The hotel is still fabulous. It is spotless and everything about it is high end. The bed, bedding and towels are what you would expect in a 5*. We loved our 4 days stay and it was very nostalgic for us. "Public free parking in 5-min walking distance. Drive to hotel to drop off luggage is convenient. Location is steps away from the red bridge."

"The property is perfect for families with children. It is convenient to shopping, dining and beach. It is located up a fairly steep hill—not great for people who have limited mobility. The food was ok but not excellent. Perfect for younger families"
