"The mall attached isn’t the best one in the area but if you want to do sown shopping or kill time, it’s connected to the hotel. The prices are good! They have a train ride kids can do but no playground. The hotel was great. I wish it had a thicker blanket BUT that’s probably not something I would say when it’s hot. "The Waterfront is a fantastic hotel in a brilliant location. Our room (as many others) had a wonderful view across the river to the golden roofed Sarawak State Assembly building and the Astana Palace and entertained us with a fabulous water fountain and light show every evening. The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. We loved the hotel and Kuching. "Overall, the facilities are excellent and conveniently located in the downtown area, Kuching. We had a nice stay at the hotel and staff were friendly. Directory of the operation, Kenny Tham was extremely helpful with arranging a day tour for us. "

"Not a very good experience. Front desk staff were not at the desk. Must ring a bell to call them. No bell boys to help with luggage, no water in room, very empty hotel lobby etc. Won't be going there again till another international hotel chain or a reputable management takes over."
