"Hotel is a little dated but clean and tidy, excellent location for public transport and walk to the lake. We didnt eat here so can not comment. Central down town in the Loop so expect some road news."

"Well located for Hyde Park. Refurbished old motel was OK and clean, but there was no hair dryer, place to hang clothes, or luggage rack, and one thin blanket on the bed. Frig, microwave, and coffee OK. Only needed one night stay but would not use for a longer stay."

"Overall, my stay was smooth from check-in to check-out. However, I did need to request a room change, as my initial room had a very strong cleaning solution odor (similar to bleach) that was difficult to tolerate. After the first night, I shared my concerns and the staff promptly accommodated my request by moving me to a different room, which I appreciated. In speaking with other guests attending the same conference, one mentioned experiencing a similar issue with odors in their room, which suggests this may be something the hotel should look into more closely. Additionally, my colleague and I noticed some unusual activity outside the hotel, including cars idling for extended periods and individuals lingering near the entrance in a way that didn’t seem typical of guests or rideshare pickups. This created a sense of unease. While the staff was friendly and helpful, I did question how secure the property is, particularly when there appeared to be individuals in the lobby and entry areas who did not seem to be hotel guests."

"Very good stay"

"Hotel has the markings of being grand, but needs a renovation in a lot of areas. The biggest issue we had is that the a/c is not adjustable in each room and the building was very warm on the 75 degree day in April. We called the front desk and they did bring us a fan that helped some and we realized we could crack the windows (but didn’t want to do that overnight with the noise of the city). Other than than, it was a standard stay and a convenient location for our plans in the city. "
