This property was incredible from the staff to the food! Very zen and relaxing, gorgeous surroundings ! Food was Michelin star quality.

Amazing views and got to experience the full traditional ryokan/onsen experience. Staff was very nice especially to foreigners.

Beautiful location, indoor and outdoor onsen was empty and the large lounge with tea was nice. Breakfast offerings were good.

Facilities are very clean and the owner is very friendly and helpful. It’s a good place to meet other travelers and the common space in the dormitory is spacious and welcoming.

This is an older hotel/onsen that has been bought by a Japanese chain, and they have done a great job refurbishing parts of it while keeping the general feel of an older onsen. My friend and I greatly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff very kind and helpful, the food good, and the atmosphere in general very pleasant. Off all the chain hotels we stayed in in Japan, this is our favorite, so much so that we plan to look for Daiwa hotels now when we book for future trips. Nice big lobby, bilingual staff, easy check in/out with automation, nice rooms, modern and larger bathroom. Everything seemed upgrade level. Definitely enjoyed staying there and it was near the station with lots of eateries to choose from.

The hotel was conveniently located close to the station. The room was comfortable and seemed to be nicely updated recently. A lot of options for restaurants nearby too.

I'm an onsen lover and this place really has it all. Sweetest experience ever.

Cute little inn, run by really nice people. Dinners were fantastic—different every night. The staff were really nice and even gave us a ride to the train station early the morning we left. The inn is across the street from the resort shuttle, so it’s easy to get to and from Appi Resort.

Very much a Japanese experience for those wanting one. A bit on the expensive side however.
