Pacific Beach Condo

This condo was just adequate. Nothing special. They wanted us to be sure to clean up and would charge us if they had to do cleaning yet we paid a cleaning fee that wasn't advertised or mentioned when we reserved the place. There were no dish towels in the kitchen to dry dishes with, only paper towels. Not my idea of a great way to do dishes. No large frying pan to cook in. The shower had shampoo and creme rinse but the dispenser wouldn't work to be able to get it out. Heaters weren't very effective. Glad we had extra blankets.

I enjoyed the top floor. The view was just perfect. The stairway to the unit was steep. The kitchen was well equiped but you must bring all condiments. The bed was nice, we sleep good. Overall condition of the building was average. There are repairs needed. To improve the view how about a window washing. It is really needed.

The Sand Dollar Condos are not condos at all. The building looks like an old cement apartment building that has seen better days. Granted it is very close to the beach and that was the best part. Check in time was at 5pm and we arrived at 6:30pm and our room still was not ready. No apology just excuses as to why it was not. The room was old old old decor, the room stunk to high heavens from the wall heaters being turned on high. The smell was so terrible we had to open all the windows and bring perfume in to spray to try to cover the smell. No internet whatsoever, even though they advertise high speed internet. Totally underwhelming and dissatisfied and disappointed.

The condos are old and even though efforts have been made to spruce them up, time has taken a tole on the place. Lots of check-in procedures because there is no on-site management.

Overall ok room

Our stay was overall good. For as much as we spent, we would have expected it to be in better shape. The floors are thin so you have to walk lightly. The furniture is in need of replacement. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. We wouldn't recommend more than two people as sleeping arrangements don't allow unless you sleep on the floor. Overall it was very clean however the shower could use some attention. The shower curtain has mildew and the shower head needs some serious cleaning or replacement. Be sure to bring body soap for the shower as there was none available. The view was great and the access to the beach was fantastic. It's just as pictured in the ad. There is a cute little store and coffee shop around the corner. For the price, we wouldn't book this again. We found a cute little village called Seabrook down the road a couple minutes that we would stay at next time that has newer nicer places for the same price. Also, the keys are in boxes at the door to the room. This wasn't told to us causing some confusion.

Our visit to Pacific Beach, WA

We enjoyed our stay at the Sand Dollar. We were visiting friends and wanted a decent place close to them, in town. Ground floor - with the necessities. It was clean, comfortable and affordable. We picked the smallest room, because we were just sleeping there mostly - but the larger condos looked like they would be very comfortable.

It was just what we needed for an inexpensive getaway. Close to the ocean, with a nice little coffee shop a block away. A bit disappointed with having to travel to go find a restaurant, but totally understandable with the Covid having shut down what would be considered normal. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Overall it was a so so experience. The bedding wasn't too clean. There was pet hair all over the pillow and the food stain on the blanket. The shower would be hot one second and then ice cold. The trash can on the property was overflowing. I won't stay there again.

I registered for three guest and 3 beds and didn't get bedding for the futon. We had a sleeping bag so my son was OK but... Due to a cold snap we couldn't get the place up to 70 degrees and no heater in the bathroom. Granted, it rarely gets that cold there, we were just lucky! For the price in the off season, I was disappointed. The color scheme was very fun and the place was very clean.

You know when you see previews for a movie and you say " wow that looks great! I'm definitely going to see that." Then you see it and it's totally not at all what you saw in the previews. That's how this place is. Don't get me wrong, i loved how close to the beach we were, but i think that the pictures posted are photoshopped. This is a motel, the walls are paper thin and the bed was so bad i had to go to the chiropractor when i got home to get straightened out. Definitely not what it's portrayed on this site.

The ocean view was was one of the best in town, great for relaxation and enjoying morning coffee. The kitchen had all we needed. We had a private entry and no disturbance from other units. Within walking distance of grocery store.

I loved where the property was. However, other tenets on the property were very disruptive, loud, screaming all the time that our stay was very unpleasant. I called telling the property managers that it was so bad that we would be leaving early dt the unfavorable conditions. I asked for compensation since we were unable to stay and was refused a refund on the days. I’m a pretty tolerant person and we put up with it for 3 days and just couldn’t take it anymore.
