Did not have the unfortunate opportunity to stay at this hotel, but from what I saw and how I was treated, it was for the best. After booking over a month in advance, while en route to the hotel, I called to let them know that I was on my way. Who I learned later to be the owner, Beatrice, answered and told me that the hotel was expecting me and that check in would be fine. When I arrived, I was disgusted to learn that despite confirmation from Beatrice, I was told there was no room for me and they had booked a new hotel for me to stay at. After requesting to view the new hotel, I saw that it was even more run down than Tribeca and was nowhere near comparable to what I paid for. I then requested a refund and was told they were unable to issue a refund and to call
Expedia. The staff then scrambled to call Beatrice back who I asked about the confirmation she had given me on the phone just a few hours later. Her response was disgustingly unprofessional and she actually suggested I be escorted off the property for requesting a refund. Mind you, all of this happened at 11:30 pm on Christmas Day. Imagine that, another woman, a business owner, leaving a woman stranded in the middle of the night. Needless to say if you’d like to avoid the risk of having your reservation cancelled in the middle of the night, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. Also, for a budget hotel, it is not worth the minor discount savings. The lobby looked run down and I observed mold on the ceiling of the “dining room”.
