Royal National Hotel

8/10 Good

"Clean, quite spacious room for 3 people. Another chair- only one - would have been useful. Had an issue with sockets/ tv tripping a couple of times but dealt with quickly when reported. Lovely breakfasts. Staff very helpful. The room would have benefited from double or secondary glazing as being on a main road it was noisy. The complimentary ear plugs unfortunately were unsuitable as the design was painful in the ears. We did manage to sleep and enjoyed our stay."

2/10 Terrible

"The pipe in the toilet broke. So our bathroom began to flood. We asked if we could be moved to a different room immediately. Instead, we were told to remain in our hot, smelly and flooded room while the maintenance guy took a look. And then after that, we were able to get a change into a significantly smaller room. We’d like a discount or a refund for the second night at the very least."

"I would not stay here again. It was extremely inconvenient to get to our room. There was only one way in and out of the hotel. We were on the opposite end. To get to our room we had to take an elevator to the floor above our floor and go through a maze of hallways then take an elevator down to our floor and go through another maze of hallways. It was frustrating to get around the hotel. The staff was not very accommodating. The air in our room did not work well and we did not get maid service. I’m usually not disappointed but this is the exception. Stay somewhere else."
