Best place to stay in Adventure Bay which is in the best suburb to stay on Bruny Island. A cozy, comfortable, creative, and well thought out structure, with all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Great bathtub, superb breakfast, fantastic owner/builder, awesome view of the bay and night sky. Opposite the Jetty, in the “Paris” end of town, safe, quiet and the best choice when visiting the Island. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing place. Enjoyed the wine left. Fridge was stocked full of great foods to eat if you wanted. Would highly recommend.

What a perfect location for my hunt for the bioluminescence aka sea sparkles - right outside the front door, in the bay! WOOHOO! And a complimentary bottle of wine, and free breakfast delivered to my door this morning (thanks!)

Fabulous
Fabulous place to stay at Adventure Bay. We booked unit 1 at The Sanctuary and was perfect for our 3 night stay. Spacious and good cooking facilities with a perfect view across the bay. Local general store very well stocked with all necessities including fresh or frozen local scallops. Peter, our host was very welcoming and his delightful warm croissants and bread in the morning was a real treat. His knowledge of the island was most welcome.

Fantastic place, stunning location
We've had a great night at this place, the view is stunning, everything you need is there and it's very clean and well maintained. The Host, Peter, is making an effort to personally greet you and is putting warm home baked bread and Croissant in front of the door in the morning. Highly Recommendable place!

Gorgeous cottage, right next to the beach.
Absolutely loved our stay and will stay again. Beautiful cottage, right next to the beach. Loved the complimentary bottle of wine and the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend for a weekend away!

Adventure in Adventure Bay
What a gorgeous place to stay. Our view of Adventure Bay was spectacular. Sanctuary expresses a Balinese theme in its decor and its deep cleansing tub in the dedicated lavatory. The shower and toilet were very nice, as well. You could brush your teeth and gaze at wallabies feeding. Charming! Speaking of wallabies, we were able, on 2 occasions, to spot a rare white wallaby!! We availed ourself of the dining room at the Bruny Hotel in Alonnah and the food was marvelous! Salmon, fish and chips, lamb shoulder, chicken parmy and more. Delicious! We partook of the Bruny Island Cruise. Spectacular sightseeing and informed and funny commentary made it a special experience. You could imagine Captains Cook and Bligh nearly 250 years ago sailing these waters. Also reccommended is look around the Bligh Museum in Adventure Bay. A treasure trove for any history buff and the curator is a wonderful man with many interesting yarns. Our host provided a complimentary bottle of wine and fresh croissants and ciabata bread each morning of our stay. The kitchen was completely kitted out for a home feed and a barbecue sat ready, if necessary, and the front veranda. We loved this place and would love to come back again!!!

Cosy couples get away.
We had an absolutely wonderful 4-night experience at number 1 Sanctuary Bruny Island. The access process was seamless and we were thoughtfully greeted by a pre-warmed apartment upon our arrival on a cold day. We were even contacted on the first day to ensure everything was to our liking and enjoyed a complimentary bottle of wine. It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into ensuring a perfect stay. The amenities were first class, the views off the covered deck were stunning & the local area was idyllic. The fresh breakfast hamper delivered each morning was a highlight of our stay. The absence of clothes washing facilities might affect those on longer stays but we appreciated how precious fresh water is on Bruny Island. The nearby caravan park has its own water source so we patronised their coin-operated laundry. If I had to suggest an improvement it would be a new mattress. That said, I would highly recommend Sanctuary Number 1 for a couples get away.

Perfect
Position overlooking adventure bay, watching the sun set over the hills. Gorgeous decor, stone bath just what you need after s day’s walking. Well stocked kitchen.

Traumhafte Bungalows, nicht ganz günstig!
Traumhafte Umgebung mit Blick auf die Bay. Sehr schöne, stilvoll eingerichtete Bungalows. Self Check-in. Der Besitzer schaut abends vorbei und erkundigt sich ob alles i.O. sei. Eine Flasche guten Rotwein ist als Willkommensdrunk dabei. Am Abend sind die Wallaby`s im Garten am grasen. Morgens bringt der Besitzer das Frühstück persönlich vorbei. Wunderschöner Aufenthalt!
