Grand Mercure Ambassador Changwon

"I stayed at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel Changwon for a friend’s wedding and absolutely loved my experience. The hotel and rooms were clean, ambience was calm and the staff were professional. Don’t expect them all to speak English and there is no free breakfast on the day of your check out. Breakfast was buffet and gourmet, and I loved the bathroom amenities and toiletries— that bidet (finger taps). Enjoyed the wedding which was also held at the hotel. All in all a solid 8.5/10."

"Overall very satisfied. Right behind the hotel, there is a walking trail by the ocean. It was quiet, safe to walk at night with locals exercising. Many areas to rest and exercise. Another great additional was the cafe within the hotel. Coffee was great!"

"The room was clean, and everything looked well maintained. Check in was very easy. At night we didn't hear anything outside the door, despite being right next to the lobby. It was also located in a pretty good spot. It was close to a shopping center, and there are many bus stops in that area if you are looking to use public transport. It also seemed like a pretty quiet neighborhood as well. There were two mild issues that took this from a 5 star to a 4 star (both of which would not be a negative for some people). First, the parking space entrance is very steep, and seemed not to be recommended for smaller cars. My car is smaller, and while I was able to get out, it was a bit worrying. In fact, we decided to park on the street instead because we didn't want to risk it again. Secondly, the bed was quite hard. I actually woke up a few times because sleeping on my side was making my arms hurt ffrom numbness."

"This is a very inexpensive hotel yet was great for me. I loved the hot water/ soaker tub, which was enormous. It soaked every ache and pain out of my body after an athletic competition. The breakfast was really good and they varied the menu each day. They also provided a clothes steamer/dryer in the room which came in handy. Very fast and efficient A/C as well which many hotels don’t have. I really appreciated the fragrance free room too. Highly recommended. 4 star hotel at 2 star prices."
