Absolutely stunning cottage with amazing views! Was lovely to have a seperate living room after travelling and only having the hotel beds to sit on.

Comfortable cottage close to sea.

Superb facilities.. everything there except a built in oven. Which was a bit disappointing.. rest of all very good.

Check out was confusing - the office was shut and no one was available, we weren’t sure what we were supposed to do!

Not recommended for non-driving guest

Room was clean and the receptionist was polite. But there is limited and poor wifi. No body wash / shampoo, but the receptionist left after 1900 so that it was too late when we found that. Also, poor heater, even though the receptionist changed another for us. Too dark and occult entry.

Dissatissfied

It would of been a lovely stay if we had got the cottage we booked but no didnt all the advertised promises we were not to have have got home and looked at my booking yep none of those things manager was adamant they were fully booked but they were not as we walked around and only 3 of the 8 wereoccupied. I think maybe he neefs too buck up his attitude.

Delightful location, comfortable stay.

We loved the gorgeous views, the comfortable lodging, a quick drive in to the little town of Akaroa. Meg at the front desk was terrifically helpful, not only with dinner reservations, but also fixing our international phone so we could call locally. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Nice to have a radiator for unexpectedly cool nights. The complimentary box of fudge samples was a very nice touch.

totally enjoyed our stay even though only for one night if you want to seclusion then this is the one you want. the setting was outstanding

charming cottages second visit

This was my second stay at this hotel. It is a beautiful piece of land, the cottages are charming and private. we like it because it feels very personal and intimate and gives us the flexibility of cooking our own food. It is a grouping of cottages, in a well landscaped, forested setting. They host was very friendly and accommodating. We spent two nights. It is located too far to walk into town easily but it is very quiet and peaceful. I will stay here again unless I find another similar quality unit closer to town with a better view.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here, both milestone accasoins. Rapt we were upgraded this time as it was my wifes 65th, Sorroundings with amaculate grounds all make for a very pleasant stay. Dealing with a pleasant duty manager made it easy. To us the place deserves a 10 out of 10. Thanks

Standard of room terrible for price

Having stayed here before I was excited. However upon arriving severely disappointed. The cabin was so old. The bathroom was water damaged and in poor condition. Dirty dusty electric box by kitchen. Used cotton bud of previous guest behind bedside table. Unbelievable this type of room was worth so much

Quiet elegance and view!

Well appointed and designed for privacy and comfort. Each room has a private view of the harbor. We enjoyed sitting on the porch taking in the view and bird song.

Beatiful spot, tranquil and secluded. 30 min walk to the Icture-postcard French-founded town of Akaroa. Brilliant staff.
