If you’re not an experienced driver who is comfortable with steep, narrow Italian streets, I suggest leaving the car outside of the city walls before getting to the hotel. “My mother and I recently stayed 2 nights at Svetoni and had a wonderful time. The resort hotel and grounds are impeccably kept and beautiful. It is very quiet, and we enjoyed walking the vineyards, relaxing, and taking a wine tasting tour. The wine and meats were delicious, and we wish we had more time to enjoy the pool and spa if it were warmer. The included breakfast was outstanding, and we met some great people each morning to chat with. It also has a Michelin star restaurant on site,...

“This is a classic luxury hotel. I can't imagine the amount of time and energy it takes to upkeep this property. But they somehow manage to maintain a spotless, manicured and warm environment. The room was quite large and rich in design. The restaurant and the staff who work there are excellent. I was here for some mother/daughter time and we loved making this our base to visit the surrounding towns. Timeless elegance!”
