All of the hotel staff did an outstanding job. Our room had everything we needed and the restaurant was great. Breakfast was exceptional. Special shoutout to Neri, the owner, for taking such good care of us.

I had the best experience here. I had come here with a group 22 years ago at age 13. I had wanted to relive and reminisce being at the castle and my experience was just as it was 22 years later at age 35!! I adored the staff and their attention and care to me as a solo traveling female. I felt like they became more than staff during my time, but friends. They showed me the inside of the room I stayed in with my grandparents as a little girl. It was really special to walk though. I always felt safe, even walking around the property at night. I WILL be back sooner rather than (22 years) later. :)
Property is stunning. Small medieval village with an awesome pool in the hills of Tuscany.
As for the rooms, you are camping in a medieval village. Expedia claims A/C, but we did not have. the rooms that have A/C are only portable units. A little tough when it is a hot August in Tuscany.
The beds are horrible. Again you are camping in a medieval village.
Location is very remote from other Tuscany towns.
That being said, it is a beautiful place to camp in a medieval village.

Different kind of experience
Reception was very friendly, even offer to take us to our room (sort of complicated in the castle).
Room was very clean and comfortable, however WiFi single was inconsistent in different spot.
Dinner manual was good (consider the location), breakfast had excellent choices and service.

If ever there is a place I would go back in Tuscany, this would be. Out of way enough to have absolute silence and close enough to enjoy the whole region for day trips. The breakfast bread and cake are made in home by Lucia and Veronica. 2 outstanding ladies. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who can enjoy few days in between and have car. For weddings would be a dream.

It was very cold. Heater was working but still too cold. I told them, then manger brought electric stove, and we use it all the night. But still cold.
In addition, Wi-Fi was not available (too weak), neither out side of cellar reach.

Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dell'accoglienza.

castle and village are uniquely beautiful. breakfast is very rich and pleasing. location is a bit removed from other things, and parking slighlty too uncomfortable for luggage loading and unloading. pool is very pretty but also a bit far to be comfortable to get in and out of. also our room up was up a couple of very, steep staircases. air conditioning is not often available. very original but somewhat impractical.
Our fist time experience with a castle hotel is pleasant. We arrived at a rainy day and thus a bit of difficulties in lifting our heavy luggage to the reception - you have to walk a few wet and muddy stone steps from the parking place. Despite that, everything else of our accommodation is nice. The heating is also well functioned considering most other hotels or agriturismo do not offer heating in late April. It is worth mentioning that the breakfast offers a lot of choices. Besides we found the restaurant at the entrance really good - ask the reception to book a table for you. But again, like many restaurant or hotels in Tuscany, in-room wifi may be a problem.
We had a great stay here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable to sleep with our 8 year old. The castle was cool- I thought it was neat that Dante spent some of his exile in this very old castle! We traveled to Siena and Arezzo during our stay-- both were close by. We also hiked around the mountain the castle is on. The included breakfast was excellent. The adjoining restaurant, however, was not so great-we ate dinner there when we arrived and it was not very good- the soup was like a weird thick baby food and the steak was mostly fat and inedible. The problem with this is that the castle is somewhat remote so if it's late there is no other option-- we went to bed quite hungry. Otherwise our stay was really pleasant.

Lugar maravilhoso
Passamos frio. E, o wifi também deixou de funcionar. De qq forma, foi uma boa experiência.
