Dear Guest We appreciate your comments about your stay and are glad that you enjoyed at least some of our services. It’s true our property is tucked away, but that is part of the beauty of our quiet, privileged location. However, there are GPS coordinates on our website as well as written directions. There is signage to the hotel several roundabouts back and normally if clients have any difficulty in finding us, they call reception and get directed in. We cannot explain why the neighbouring hotel were unable to give you directions, that could be for a variety of reasons! We were surprised about your staff comments regarding tips and don’t understand why you felt they feared for their jobs. We try desperately to hold on to good staff as do other partner hotels as they are incredibly difficult to find in this day and age. With regard to tips, just to clarify, non-cash tips of course go through to accounting and are then distributed among the staff in accordance with proper legal procedure. And there isn’t an owner on site as it is owned by an overseas company, so you’ve made an incorrect assumption here! It is true there is a problem with English language TV channels as we access free sat channels, and the UK-TV sat to the Algarve has been turned off! We are currently looking into alternatives to resolve this situation. All our A/C is individually remote-controlled in each room! You mention Fawlty Towers and then go on to say zero personality. We would have thought that was an oxymoron. However, although we dispute we are like Fawlty Towers, we loved that series. It was seriously funny. Many thanks for your observations.

Guten Tag, Vielen Dank für Ihre Kommentare zu Ihrem Aufenthalt. Natürlich versuchen wir ständig, den Vorstellungen unserer Gäste zu entsprechen. Dass es nicht immer gelingt tut uns sehr leid. Ihre Anmerkungen zum Frühstücksbuffet und Abendmenu, können wir aber leider nicht nachvollziehen. Das Buffet wird jeden Tag frisch zubereitet und da wir sehr Wert auf gesunde Bio-Kost legen, kommen nur die besten Produkte auf den Tisch. Die Apfelschnitze im Joghurt waren zuvor eingelegt, daher die vielleicht für Sie störende braune Einfärbung. Die Auswahl an Konfitüren wie Apfelsinen oder Quitte oder Tomaten neben Erdbeer mögen vielleicht exotisch für einen Mitteleuropäer erscheinen, hier gehören diese Qualitäten auf den Tisch, hausgemacht! Neben einer grossen Brotauswahl (zum grössten Teil aus Bio-Mehl) haben Sie die ganze Aufschnitt-Palette die von einem deutschen Metzger hier in der Region produziert werden und seit Jahren unser Haus beliefert. Dazu kommt eine eigens für vegan Ernährende aufgelegte Auswahl an frischen Produkten und Säften. Ihre bevorzugte Eierspeisen halten wir nicht auf dem Buffet sondern kommen direkt aus der Küche, frisch und heiss für Sie zubereitet. Dies ist noch lange nicht die komplette Auflistung der Buffetkomposition. Die Abendkarte ist doch sehr beliebt und die Gäste freuen sich immer wieder an den täglich wechselnden Menus sowie den regionalen Spezialitäten, meistens alles aus Bio-Anbau incl. den Fleischgerichten. Vegetarisch und Vegan Angebot ist auch berücksichtigt. Die Gäste können sich während ihres Aufenthaltes ständig an neuen Kreationen begeistern. Für was wir uns sicherlich entschuldigen müssen, sind die unvorhergesehenen Eingriffe in den Elektrokreislauf, der leider wenn technische Probleme auftreten meistens nicht unbemerkt behoben werden kann. Das tut uns sehr leid. Das Management.
