City Hotel Tien Shan

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The exterior is not new, but my room was nicely appointed. The water takes a very long time to get warm. Just when I was about to give up on it, it got better. Norice that I said warm. It never gets scalding hot, but it is good enough for me. The front desk usually has an English speaker available which helps a lot. Also, there is always a security guard / doorman present at the lobby. I never saw a need for one, but I suppose some people like to see that. The free breakfast buffet wasn't usually impressive, but then on one morning it suddenly was. In any case, you can request eggs if the buffet isn't doing it for you. The kitchen staff seems pretty efficient to me. The hotel is in a good, safe area. Lots of cafes and bars and things to do within walking distance or a reasonable Uber ride away.

Заселялась 31 октября, вечером. Отель полу-пустой. Дали номер 207. Захожу и понимаю, что с низкого второго этажа вид на оживленную улицу. Очень шумно, даже при закрытых окнах. Прошу поменять - дают 208. Соседний, по той же стороне. Прошу поменять - дают 310. Этажом выше, окна туда же. Прошу дать 311. Дают. Окна в тихий двор. При стоимости 23 000 тенге (4500 руб) в номере нет бесплатной воды в бутылках, нет ни чайника, ни чашек/ложек. Единственный стакан не поменяли после предыдущих постояльцев - он ГРЯЗНЫЙ!! Воду в ванной я спускала минут 15... горячая не пошла... Не приняв с дороги душ, ложусь спать. В 5 часов утра я проснулась от отвратительного гула непонятной природы. Он то звучал, то замолкал, потом начинался снова... Как пылесос, только хуже - очень мерзкая частота. Я поняла, как от звуков сходят с ума... Часа через полтора с трудом уснула. ОКАЗЫВАЕТСЯ, это заработало оборудование в соседнем продуктовом магазине! Это мне утром на ресепшн сказали, когда я на сутки раньше срока пошла убегать из этого ужасного места. Да, завтрак никакой! Тарелки и Глазунья к моему приходу закончилась - их не добавили. Куриные крылья я не могу без пива, блинчики холодные, кофе растворимый... Нет, я не придираюсь! Все так и было! Еэжу много, Первый раз я так вляпалась...
