Overall is good for budget hotel, it will be even better if there is toothbrush, a few rm charges wont be a problem

Clean and comfy. Friendly staff. However request to change room type wasn't entertained although the request was made way in advance.

Clean hotel
The hotel room is clean, toilet is clean too. Alor Setar Mall is nearby the hotel so no issue for shopping and food. The only disadvantages is that there is no mobile signal in the room. There is a Chinese restaurant next to this hotel, during our two night stays there were wedding receptions with lots of car parking around the hotel. However the hotel did a great job by reserving the parking lot for their guests.

Nice hotel and easy parking
I hv to use the stair to second floor as there was no lift however the room was very clean and along the way to room and in the room was smell so nice. Value for money.

Good Budget hotel for overnight stay
It was noisy outside. The wifi was poor. Rest the price, cleanliness and spaciousness in room was great.

Overall ok. Only toilet fitting arrange abit weird but toilet room is not tight. Air cond is cold and nice. Bed sheet seem not very clean but acceptable level. Hot water using instant heater, my preference is boiler tank type.

Pleasant, albeit small room
Room was basic & small but very clean. Staff were very pleasant. No cupboards but 2 wall-mounted steel hooks were made available. Parking within the premises is available but maneuvering for large vehicles is difficult due to small lane & tight corners. Located near industrial area and Alor Setar (Selatan) PLUS exit.

"Perfect!", says my parents
I booked this room (twin beds with windows) for my parents and they were very satisfied with the hotel. They were allocated a ground floor room, and the room was spacious. Everything from toiletries to hair dryer to cable television were provided. I immediately booked another room for their next stay the following week. They now look forward to return to the hotel each time they visit Alor Setar.

Comfort and warm hospitality
It was not that difficult to find the hotel and the vending machine is handy as we were very tired after a long drive. I was quite amassed that our requests for a ground floor room due to my husband's knee problem was being entertained. The 2 malay girls ie front desk receptionists are friendly and accomodating when we check in on September 19, 2015 at around 3 pm.

An affordable night stay
The hotel is at a strategic location and easy to find. Like others have reviewed, the management need to add soundproof to the door / wall. We stayed at ground floor and we can hear foot steps from the lobby, quite loud.

Thank you for your comment and staying in AST Hotel. We had a hard time in doing decision whether to put tiles or carpets for flooring finishes. Carpets can provide better sound proofing but it retain dirt on it. It is difficult to clean up and have smell after some time. So, we decided to put tiles to maintain cleanliness but in the other side the sound proof is weaker.
