"The location is unique for sure. It is a beautiful 16-th centaury palace, very well preserved, with original artifacts throughout the place. It felt (to me) a bit spooky/ haunted, which added to the sense of adventure. Rooms are very basic, with very few amenities. Well placed for all the places of interest and for a good selection of restaurants. Parking, quite pricey, but only about 50 yards from the hotel who arrange a small discount. A 2 night stay is ample to see most places but it's essential to book a hotel up the hill rather than down below."
