The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

"Location, location, location! The property itself sits at the base of the Tower Bridge and is within 5 minutes walking distance to the Tower of London, and within a 10 minute walking distance of a Tube station. It is also situated near other major attractions in the area. The grounds offer an outdoor pub and seating, as well as a couple of decent restaurants and a coffee shop. It is also located adjacent to St. Katherine’s dock area offering a range of restaurants and shops. The downside is the building is quite old, and although the reception area is modern, the rooms have not been renovated in many, many years, and are quite dated. There was no thermostat to control the temperature within the room, and the furniture is made of wood. Great place to stay for sightseers who will not be spending much time in their room!"

"Sitting out on the balcony and overlooking the Thames into the evening made the weekend very special. Staff were attentive and very polite. Would definitely recommend if your want a good view of London day and night."

"Amazing location! Quiet street 2min from St Paul’s with excellent connections to public transit and local shops and restaurants. Spacious room, comfortable bed, proper desk for working, and a large modern bathroom. The room faced the hotel interior but with the large skylight roof inside the Hotel it was very bright in the room. The standard room also had a couch, table, and large smart tv which was a bonus. Daily water and a fridge were also appreciated. Very quiet even though I was close to the elevators. I would definitely stay here again."
