Great hotel, perfect location in Åndalsnes for many of the big walks and activities. Nice view from the room, great service, very nice beds, great place.
Terrific hotel with lots of historical photos and artwork on the walls. Receptionist Inka was wonderfully helpful in helping us make arrangements for a day hike we were interested in doing, including putting together transport to the trailhead. Delicious meals in the restaurant at the end of each day. Would happily return there again!
The hotel is beautifully situated and convenient. It does need some updating. The room had an odor, but was able to open window. I feel it could be an incredible boutique hotel, but felt more like a 3 star versus 4 or 5 star. The hotel staff were great.
Very clean. The food was delicious! Staff friendly. Elevator which was helpful. Small single room but expected and functional. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Basic. Rooms were small, hot, bed comfort just ok. Staff was friendly. Location: not much to do if it’s rainy/cloudy but that’s not the fault of the hotel

We had a lovely corner suite with mountain views. This was a highlight for our room. However, expect the room to be a bit dated, especially the bathroom. We did see a silverfish in the bathroom unfortunately. But bed was clean. Breakfast was ok. Staff was amazing. This hotel is perfect for location, you just need to be aware of the reality of an older hotel and building.
The hotel has a great location with beautiful views and a good breakfast. However, our room only had three beds, and it was not possible to add an extra bed. As a result, we had to split our family between two rooms and pay extra, which was disappointing. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.
Ideally placed, far enough away from the town centre to be quiet but close enough for restaurants, The Golden Train, the gondola and the harbour. The staff were very helpful and friendly. While the hotel doesn’t have a laundry, reception will direct you to a local service that does pick up and delivery.
