“Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. The private trail was a moderate hike to a gorgeous waterfall and was a great taste of the beauty of the area without the crowds of Tenorio. Our 6 year-old loved seeing the red-eyed tree...

The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant.”

“Jardín Entre Montañas was one of our most memorable stays in Costa Rica. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can feel the care and pride they have put into everything. The cabins are very cute, simple, and spotlessly clean—clearly built with love by the family themselves. It feels personal and genuine, not commercial. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful, and private. They also gave us a night tour where we saw tree frogs and birds, which was a highlight. Breakfast...

“Breakfast was wonderful and fresh. staff were so friendly and helpful. They help set up excursions. The owner was so kind and helpful. He pointed out wildlife that you could see around the property. family friendly. It is a little bit away from the town but we liked being more in nature. the stars were so bright and the sunset was beautiful. I'd stay there again!”

“Good property and location. Room wasn’t quiet at all. Fan was loud and couldn’t use. No air conditioning. Wind outside was knocking things around. Shower temperature was difficult to adjust. Parking was limited and obstructed by some construction stuff.”

“It's a beautiful spot overlooking the mountains. The chalet was well equipped and a fantastic use of space. We would highly recommend it. The only suggestion would be to cut back the trees off the upstairs balcony so that you can see the view better. ”

“La mansion is in a beautiful location, and has nice views of the lake. The swimming pool and hot tub (more of a warm-tub) were great. I also loved our bright yellow room with crazy tiles thoughout the bathroom. The restaurant was ok. I would recommend eating at one of the local sodas instead. Overall, a great spot if you have a car to explore the area(Including La Fortuna)”
